A 1:1 scale reconstruction of a destroyed fresco by Andrea Mantegna, starting from the black and white photographs remaining. The images, enlarged to reach the original size of the fresco, are printed on blueback paper and glued on a wall at the same height of the destroyed fresco.

The result is somehow ambiguous: what are we looking at? We have somehow a part of the object back, at the same time the artwork is still lost. Are we in front of a  ghost?
